Although currently based in Oxfordshire, UK, Claudia was born and raised in Lisbon, Portugal. After graduating in English and Germanic Philology, at the Faculty of Letters, Lisbon, and taking a post-degree in economic and legal translation, she decided to live out a lifelong passion: photography. Claudia has held an interest in photography since she was a child, but she has only recently deepened her technical knowledge.

She took a basic photography course at Instituto Portugues da Fotografia (Portuguese Photography Institute), where she learnt how to develop pictures in a darkroom, and also basic photography concepts. After taking this course, her passion for photography, and its subjects, grew stronger. And what first started as a hobby has now become something else.

In 2008, after sending her student application to Oficina da Imagem, she did a 3 month Adobe Lightroom short course, and in January 2009 she started her advanced professional photography course at Oficina da Imagem, having successfully completed it in October 2009. Her diploma was issued by AFP (Portuguese Photography Association) and Oficina da Imagem granted her an honourable mention in Fashion Photography.

Her work has been published in photography magazines and she has been involved in some personal projects with a few creative artists (photographers, makeup artists, dancers). She is currently attending a conceptual course at Oficina da Imagem.

Claudia is now based in the Oxfordshire region, and is available for all your professional photographic needs.
